Hi peeps and welcome to another Bear report brought to you by Mydo bait swimmers.

Well hey there hasn’t been much diving since last week and the sea has just started coming right today from Bluff to Winkelspuit! Although surf was flattish this morning it’s picked up again with the NE wind this afternoon.

Sea temps are nice and warm though between 22 and 23 degC with a light SN current in the main besides Hibberdene Umzumbe area.

On the fishing front guy’s are struggling a bit as well with the Coppers and Daga salmon off the bite. Inshore there’s plenty Bronze bream and Brusher around if you can find a spot without too much side wash.

Paul Toich and mates went up to Villancoulos in Mozambique for a spearfishing trip and managed to get some fish including a Sailfish (Paul’s mate) and Paul got a Black marlin! Aweh lads.

Yuup it looks like Zululand and up is the best bet atm and Umhlanga Spearfishing club has their Blue water compo on at Sodwana this weekend so we should see some good gamefish coming out this weekend.

Tomorrow we have a big front coming through with a fresh SW blowing from midmorning tomorrow and quite a bit of rain tomorrow night….meh! Hopefully it doesn’t brown up the sea!

We are just off Spring tides atm with high tide tomorrow at 04h50/17h00 and low tide at 11h40. Swell is predicted at 1.8m in the morning building to 2.5m plus in the afternoon.

North coast is toast atm so south is a better bet!

As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
