Bear KZN sea conditions report Snoek Couta warm blue water

Well with the summer weather all over the place it’s hard to get the timing right on a dive however if you do there’s plenty Mackie action north of Durban with decent Snoek around with the anchovies and dart to medium sized Couta around.

There’s also Yellow fin tuna and Dorado around with Cape yellowtail and Amberjack out deeps off pinnacles and wrecks. Daga salmon are also around in the same spots as the Amber’s and Tails.

Getting in early is definitely the ticket atm demonstrated here with Domz and Dieter getting in at sunrise and coming right with Snoek and a Couta! Well done lads Aweh!

The weather God’s have given us a Dr southerly wind today which seems to be cleaning up the sea nicely atm! Swell is supposed to be 2.3m however it’s around 1.5m.

Saturday we have a light to moderate NE wind predicted so early bells is the ticket especially with high tide at 07h00/19h00 and low tide at 13h00.
Swell is predicted to be 2.1m at 15sec from the south but let’s see what the morning brings.

Sunday is NE again with 2.2m swell and it’s the second day of NE so temps will drop a bit therefore early out to sea for Amber’s and Tails is the best bet.

There’s nice blue water pushing in along the coast with the southerly so there should definitely be divable water tomorrow morning!
