Bear KZN sea report Buster SW Saturday Couta Snoek Cobia

So yes the viz definitely improved especially from Toti up to the Blythdale area on the north coast. Viz reported was in the 10 to 15m range and water was warmer than it’s been hovering around 23 degC!

Allas we have a buster SW wind coming through early bells Saturday and it’s hard to believe looking at the decent ocean this afternoon! And the rain comes with the cold front tomorrow!

Sunday the wind does a hatchet switch around to a moderate to fresh NE wind from the morning right through into the evening.

Swell is in charge on both days with it being marginally smaller tomorrow afternoon from 2.4m to nearly 2.6m Sunday morning at 12 seconds from the south east.

With fish this week we have Christo Muller getting it done up north with a decent Snoek, aslo up north Master Richardt Botes with a lekker winter hattrick Couta Snoek and Garrick, Paul Shannon with a decent Snoek off Virginia and one lucky angler jigging and dropping with the Sardines at Isipingo getting a decent Prodigal son (Cobia)! Aweh lads!

Guys jigging and dropping and also with plugs and spoons have been getting quality fish between Umgababa and Umkomaas with Garrick Snoek and Cape yellowtail coming out.

Sea temps bumped 23 degC yesterday with it dropping back down to 21 to 22 degC today with the current slowly switching to SN already before the SW wind.
