Well the NE wind on Monday cleaned the sea up by this morning however the current has switched NS now and the 20knt NE wind blowing now doesn’t seem to be doing it any favours.
Silver lining is the fact that we have two great day’s weather from tomorrow with just NW offshore wind in the morning and light onshore in the arvo. Swell starts at 1.9m in the morning and drops off to 1.6m by the afternoon tomorrow.
With fish this week we have Master Melvin Pillay with Daga salmon Garrick Grunter and a bus Tassel fish, Master Bruce with a decent Poensie/Black mussle cracker, Master Alistair Jones fishing off his ski with a bus Daga salmon, Connie Hallowell in the Tkei with a Garrick and Willem Swart from Chilliwhip spearfishing with a 3.3kg Spadie. Aweh well done lad’s!
As you can see the winter fish are fullup however guy’s fishing for Shad are battling a bit and only early pre sunrise fishing is producing the fish. Snoek and Garrick are coming in off fishing from the side as well especially far north coast.
Sea temps are down a bit ranging from 19.5 to 21 degC with current NS atm.
We just off Spring tides with high tide at 06h05/18h15 and low tide at 12h05 tomorrow.
Sardines are still coming up from the Tkei however not much happening local today Sardine wise.
Please don’t forget to get your entries in for the Natal Champs shoredive compo set for the end of August.
As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
