Bear KZN sea report Champs results Daga salmon Garrick Snoek

So yes the sea was definitely divable Saturday and Sunday this past weekend and the champs went ahead on Sunday with a wonderful turnout of 45 entrant’s for the 70th anniversary!

There will be a full article on the Natal Champs on the website masterwatermen.co.za soon! Plus a video from Rob Allen by Callum out on Saturday this weekend and I will share links on all the socials!

Our new Champ (and 1st time entrant!) is JP Blumenthal who had a stellar stringer of fish (see pic)…he was closely followed by Garreth Brockett in 2nd place and Timothy White in 3rd place (see pic’s). Well done lads Aweh!

With non compo fish we have Timothy White with a decent Daga salmon North, Warren McNichol with a Snoek Pennington, Christo Muller with a GT at Sodwana and Lady diver Tanya Nadauld with a decent Daga Salmon down south! Aweh peeps lekker feesh!

Sardines wise not much news today however there was plenty of action lower south coast over the weekend with gamefish feeding and flocks of birds around the St Mike’s area and aslo Ifafa a little further north.

We have a light NE wind blowing this afternoon with a SW blow set to come through midmorning Wednesday. Surf chunky far north with it getting flatter towards Durban. There’s viz Bluff and south thereof.

Current in the main was SN this morning stronger in the south and lighter up north with sea temps up around 21 to 22degC. We are at neap tide’s with low at 07h22 and high tide at 13h30 tomorrow.
