Well it’s been a tough week since last week Friday diving wise with Monday being the only divable day however the sea has calmed beautifully after the SW blow early hours of this morning.
There’s a light Southerly blowing at 10knts now with swell below 1.5m! North and South coast looking really flat however clean water looks further out behind the shark nets.
North has a 1knt SN current and south has a light NS current atm. Sea temps offshore are around 23 degC so there should be some cleaner water pushing inshore as I write this.
Tomorrow morning we have a light SE wind blowing with a moderate SW wind arriving at lunch time and blowing through the night into Sunday dropping off Sunday arvo.
Swell start’s at 1.5m Saturday morning and picks up to 2.2m in the arvo with the SW wind. Sunday swell starts at 1.8m and drops off to 1.6m in the arvo as the SW wind drops off.
There’s been loads of Snoek on the Rod north of Tinley for the past week and lot’s of Brusher and some Grunter in the Durban area. Garrick have started their return run which means the Kingfish should be around in numbers as well. Yellow fin tuna Daga salmon and Geelbek are still out deeper as well.
Well done Troy Elof with a decent Rock salmon and Brusher combo beginning of the week local and also young lad Kyle also local with a tank 1st Grunter! Aweh lads!
Tides tomorrow are high at 05h03 and 17h06 and low tide at 12h07.
As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
