Bear KZN sea conditions report Couta Sailfish Snoek

Yoh what a week it has been conditions wise however fish have been sporadic and not at full tilt! It gets even better conditions wise, if you can believe it, with Saturday and Sunday being the best two pearler days we have had weekend wise in ages!

Finding the fish in the crystal viz has been difficult and what you need is current and the right line then it’s game on. Snoek have been around in one’s and two’s mainly with big Shoals of dart couta around on the Snoek line as well.

There’s viz up and down the Coast with minimal swell today and light variable current. Sea temps are sky high with an average of 26 degrees. The Shoal just went 27.2 and it’s just under 27 off the Fairway bouy.

With fish this week we have Noah Whittle with a decent bag of Snoek up north, Rowan Coleman with a shore entry Sailfish Salt rock, Greg Reilly with a decent Couta ski fishing off Scotties yesterday and Dominic Fourie with a Snoek Umdloti weekend. Aweh lad’s lekker feeshies!
