Hi peeps and welcome to another Bear report brought to you by Mydo bait swimmers.

As expected with the structured swell arriving the sea cleaned up and the mackerel came on! Sunday was ballistic and this morning before the north east wind as well!
Average vis up and down the coast is no less than 4 to 5m and a lot better than that in places. Sea temps 26degc plus and perfect current (lower south coast has a heavy NS current though) with minimal swell! What more could a spearo want!
With the high temperatures in shore the mackerel (especially Queen mackerel) become lethargic and easy to approach especially when in big shoals. Find the right spot and you will be surrounded by Queen mackerel just about every second down! The snoekening has begun…
With fish we have Master Richardt with a big eye Kingfish and a Couta, Master Louis with a Wahoo and a seapike, the Bear with a decent bag of Snoek north, Domz with a lovely bag of donkey Snoek north, Darryl with a quartet of snoek north, Ashely and Gordon with decent Snoek local boat, JP and Jerone with Couta south boat and Jarred with a bus bull Dorado off Durban… Aweh everyone!
As for weather tomorrow that structured swell gives way to bang on east swell at 2m 7 seconds so probably gonna bomb the inshore along with the NE wind still blowing… however a good Dr SW wind freshens up the sea arvo into evening making for good sea conditions Thursday morning.
We have a high tide at 08h12 and a low at 14h22 tomorrow just off neeps with Halfmoon.
Peeps if you haven’t already got in for a dive…now is a good time to call in sick. Especially after the SW wind.
As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
