Well diving was tough from the shore weekend but boats did launch with varied results of Mackies and Kingfish. Monday on the other hand was a different story after the NE on Sunday.

Clean water pushed in on the north coast with just the right amount of current and warm water. Guy’s smashed the Snoek up Ballito side and one or two Couta came out!

Aweh Master Richardt with a decent Couta and Rockcod shore dive north! Aweh Morne with a lekker brace of Queen mackies up north and Aweh Leon with a decent brace of Queen mackies also North.

Richards bay seeing some action with Jaco getting some lekker Couta on Mydo bait swimmers checkout the Mydo tackle talk here… https://youtu.be/5dfFGiVxSkc

Peeps there’s a huge low pressure cell sitting in the southern ocean wirling around in cyclone fashion which will slowly be making it’s way north and east. Combine this with a low pressure moving up the coast from Cape town and you have a recipe for rain.

Yes it’s going to rain plenty tomorrow into Thursday morning. Meh. Also the low pressure cell is going to push swell for the next five day’s or so… great for surfing and not so good for diving.

Tides are heading into neaps with Halfmoon on Thursday low tomorrow is 13h00 and high is at 07h00. The NE wind predicted today hardly blew on the north and has petered out this arvo on the south coast. Which probably means that the fresh SW wind predicted for early bells blow tomorrow is going to arrive early.

Current switched on the north last night to NS current which brought the thermocline up with colder water this morning and less action mackies wise. Hopefully the fresh SW Dr wind blows that warmer water back in.

As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
