So cutting straight to the punch…is the sea cleaning up? YES! North coast has improved remarkably with the SN reverse current onnit today generated by the moderate SW wind blowing atm.

I was watching Watler Bernidas live on the Shoal this morning via Facebook and viz looked decent! Rudie Dutoit was camera in hand out on the Shoal this weekend and he said viz was remarkably good!

The SW wind blows through into tomorrow and changes up this ground swell from the East we having today. However swell looks size tomorrow but it’s clean from the south at 8 seconds.

Tides tomorrow are low at 09h15 and high at 15h12 and we are heading into springs on Saturday with new moon on Friday.

Over the weekend the Southern tip Extreme spearo competition was held in Struisbaai Western Cape as a fundraiser for Master Tommy Botha.

Guy’s got some good Cape Yellowtail and Garrick. Billfish don’t count in compos however Georgie managed to stone shot a 154kg Black Marlin whilst in the compo! Stephan Dutoit took the honours with a Cape Yellowtail over 15kg. Aweh well done lads!

We have great weather till the weekend so get that gear ready… gonna be some diving!

As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
