Hi peeps and welcome to another Bear report brought to you by Mydo bait swimmers.

Online YouTube report available here…

So in the last report I should have kept my mouth shut! Oh boy did the rain come down for 24hrs and we had a complete reset on the sea improvement! Meh!

Rain was so hectic 5 deceased people were washed out to sea and washed up on Bluff beaches. Condolences friends and family. Bluff and cutting beaches were also absolutely littered with plastic bottles etc etc.

South coast from Margate to Durban is mud inshore today however there is decent viz on the Aliwal shoal and at 28 degC there should be some decent gamefish action around! It is reverse current though at about 1knt.

North coast up by Ballito and Sheffield has shown remarkable improvement from yesterday’s brown to colour in the wave’s today! However there’s quite a strong swell at 2m from the SE at 9 seconds. 27.5 degC and 1knt reverse current off Durban today! That blue water is coming in!

Saturday we have a light to moderate NE wind picking up speed after lunchtime with 2m swell at 10 seconds from the SE. Sunday we have pearler weather all day with light to variable wind and 2m swell from the SE at 9 seconds.

New Moon today with spring tides on Saturday with high tide at 04h48 and 16h40 and low at 10h40. Hopefully the big tidal difference brings that clean water in shallow because Crayfish season opens up tomorrow!

We have a Cyclone called Honde spinning around at the bottom end of Madagascar with a path set to end up in the southern ocean. Please let this prediction be 100 percent! No more rain please and thanks!

As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
