Hi peeps and welcome to another Bear report brought to you by Mydo bait swimmers.

Online YouTube report available here

So as I said in Friday last week’s report diving was incredible this past long weekend! Especially on the south coast as it had cleaned up nicely after the big swell and rain!

Clean water flat surf and gamefish and bottom fish flocking to wherever the Sardines arrived in the shallows! Guy’s were even getting Slinger in the midbreak! Those Sardines pull everything like a magnet however when they are gone they take the fish with them!

We have myself the Bear getting a consolation prize of a decent Yellow belly Rockcod Bluff, Wesley with a Geelbek and a 24kg Croc Couta Lincoln with decent Rubber lips a Garrick and a snoek Bluff, Master Louis Schourie saying hi to a 3.5m Great White shark and still getting a decent Couta Scottburgh, Gordon with a decent species bag of fish Snoek Springer and bottom fish Umgababa, Rowan fishing off his Ski picking up a huuuge 40kg Cobia amongst the Sardines Park Rynie, Troy Elof with a size Rock salmon 5kg Town, Master John Girzda and crew finding the Mackies on a boat dive, Gordon Leon and Leon with Half kob Red steenbras and Garrick south coast, Ben Tarr with a fat Daga salmon boat dive, Tanya Nadauld with a decent Wahoo boat dive, Caleb with a nice brace of Garrick Warner’s and last but not least laatie Kyle getting in the game with a Decent Yellow belly and a snoek! Yowzers no place like KZN in winter! Aweh everyone well done!

We have a SW wind onnit today and the super flat conditions are out the window for a while as the surf picks up to 3m tomorrow morning with a light offshore in the morning and a poison SE wind in the afternoon.

South was nice and clean this morning including Bluff however it looks like the reverse current plus chop are greening it up a bit. Westbrook looked pearler this morning and I’ve heard that there was mackie action that side on the weekend.

SARDINES are still being netted especially between Toti and umgababa today and Kevin from Qora in the Tkei recons there’s a massive shoal still on it’s way up to KZN! Action ain’t over yet!

We are at neap tide’s with the moon at half with low tide tomorrow at 03h30 and 15h43 and high tide at 09h30.

Swell continues for a few days so it looks like boat diving will prevail!

As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
