Bear KZN sea conditions report Big surf Buster NE wind

Well the wave’s definitely came through from the south with 2m plus sets banging the coast line most of the week up till this afternoon.

And the news get’s a little worse with a moderate to fresh NE wind blowing Saturday! However this might be just what we need to back that crunching swell off!

Sunday the NE abates a bit and by afternoon the wind drops off completely. Swell starts at were in 2.2m Saturday morning and mooshes out at 2.5m late afternoon.

Sunday the swell starts at 2.1m and drops off to 1.8m by afternoon off Durban and 1.6m down south.

Temps are around 21 degC up and down the Coast with a light SN current in most spots. We have new Moon Saturday night with spring tides Sunday to Monday with high tide Saturday at 15h15 and low tide at 09h00.

Fish wise I do not much news besides Garrick and Snoek from Durban beachfront through to Umhlanga and the usual Daga salmon and Geelbek out in the deep.

Scotties and Southbroom looking clean this afternoon with North coast looking pretty trashed besides some colour at Umdloti.
