Hi peeps and welcome to another Bear report brought to you by Mydo bait swimmers.

Well tuff times at the moment when it comes to spearfishing and finding viz so you can see your quarry! A boat is deffos an advantage and we can see that by the cover picture today!

Well done Bruce on a fish of a lifetime, a Bus Black Mussel cracker! Aweh! Looks like local waters as well!

I’ve been hearing rumours about Geelbek being around on deeper marks and there are quite a few small Daga salmon around as well. Guy’s on the ski’s north coast are still getting single big Couta although the action is sporadic.

We have had a ballistic day’s weather here in KZN South Africa and the good weather carries on through to tomorrow (Wednesday). A light offshore in the morning and a light onshore in the afternoon with minimal swell.

Sea temperature is around 24degC on average with a NS current up and down the Coast. Swell is on the small side and will be even flatter tomorrow.

We are just off neap tide’s with low tide at 07h07 and 19h00 and high tide at 13h07 tomorrow. There’s minimal difference in the tides with it being on the lower side.

As for viz there’s nothing much around…even Aliwal shoal went dirty today. MEH!

Hopefully with all this decent weather and minimal swell the viz will start showing up soon!

As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear.
